CREEPSHOW VHS-Inspired Box Set & EVIL DEAD Trading Cards from Fright-Rags
CREEPSHOW VHS-Inspired Box Set & EVIL DEAD Trading Cards On Sale Now at Fright-Rags.com
For many, the '80s were all about horror movies, VHS tapes, comic books, and trading cards. Fright-Rags manages to pay tribute to all of these nostalgic elements with its new releases for George A. Romero's Creepshow and Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead.
The Creepshow collection kicks off with a Creepshow Video Series box set. Limited to 225, the package includes an exclusive shirt featuring the film's original poster art by Joann Daley, The Creep two-piece enamel pin set, VHS sticker sheet, and Fright-Rags microwave popcorn, all packaged in a collector's box that looks like an oversized Creepshow VHS.
Fright-Rags has also created Fluffy mini-masks. Based on Tom Savini's creature from Creepshow's "The Crate" segment, each 6" retro-style mask is packaged in a cardboard crate box. It's available in two colorways: standard (limited to 300) and red/blue (limited to 200), which emulates the film's comic book-inspired lighting.
The massive Creepshow collection also offers an enamel pin from each of the anthology's five segments, custom-knit comic panel-style socks, Daley's artwork on baseball tees, and a reprint of Justin Osbourn's bestselling Creepshow shirt.
Fright-Rags expands its line of wax packs with The Evil Dead official movie photo cards. Each pack contains nine trading cards and one sticker, with sketch cards and other chase cards randomly inserted. They're available in single packs, factory boxes, and sealed boxes.
The Creepshow collection and Evil Dead trading cards are on sale now at Fright-Rags.com. Stay tuned for The Fly merchandise coming next week.

A Kids Book to Explain "Trump's Wall"
Many parents are struggling to find the words to explain Trump's wall. A new book deals with this issue in a non-partisan way. The book is (pretty straightforwardly) called THE WALL and includes a pop-up border wall in the center. It's the story of a king who builds a wall in his kingdom to separate people who don't look like him. But once the division occurs, he realizes his kingdom isn't so lovely anymore and he knocks the wall down with a new appreciation for his diverse and talented kingdom.
The book was previewed this weekend at New York Toy Fair, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. It caught many people in their tracks with folks jokingly asking if the "king" was planning a "kingdom shutdown." Others responded that they wish the book had come out sooner, and that they couldn't wait to use the book to explain this issue to their children.

Winter is Coming and so is Arrow!
With winter right around the corner, you're going to want to stay inside to beat the cold, unpleasant weather. Thanks to Arrow, staying in is better than ever and this December they're going to give you six more reasons to do so!
On December 4th, Arrow Video is pleased to release The Serpent's Egg from legendary director
Ingmar Bergman. In this spellbinding mystery, David Carradine stars as an out-of-work circus performer that gets caught up in a tangled web when he begins to ask questions about his brother's bizarre death. For this film Bergman teamed with powerhouse Italian director Dino De Laurentiis.
Things get really busy on December 11th starting with the release of De Palma & De Niro: The Early Films. This boxset showcases Robert De Niro on the big screen for the first time and highlights the beginnings of his wonderful relationship with the legendary Brian De Palma. The set includes three films from the iconic duo - The Wedding Party, Greetings and Hi, Mom! - all of which have been newly restored specifically for this release. Featuring brand-new interviews, commentaries and writings, this is one boxset not to be missed.
If you like westerns you're in luck, because rounding out the December 1th slate will be Sergio Corbucci's landmark spaghetti western, Django. Franco Nero stars as a mysterious loner that arrives on the US-Mexico border and gets caught up in a war between a racist gang and Mexican revolutionaries. This release features a brand new 4K restoration and includes Texas Adios, the follow up in which Nero returns as Django. Django will also be available as a limited edition steelbook.
Twisted '80s slasher Bloody Birthday comes home on December 18th with a brand new 2K restoration. A trio born on the same solar eclipse develop a habit for murdering adults in the Ed Hunt directed classic. This new release is loaded with special features, including two new commentaries, an interview with lead actress Lori Lethin and a video appreciation from renowned genre journalist Chris Alexander.
Joining the Arrow Video December releases will be The Apartment, coming to Blu-ray on December 11th from Arrow Academy. Hollywood icons Billy Wilder and Jack Lemmon re-team for perhaps their greatest achievement in this hilarious masterpiece that took home five Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Arrow Academy is proud to present The Apartment with a brand new 4K restoration from the original camera negative and produced exclusively for this release.
