Meanwhile, weird things happen in the new house: Knocking sounds, strange guitar riffs in the rain, and unexplained messes. A quirky medium and a bumbling paranormal investigation team search for answers but are scared away an unseen force.

Amanda discovers that her house is haunted by Brian, the teenage punk rock ghost who has been jamming on her roof during rainstorms for thirty years. He enjoys spirited poker nights with a local quintet of teen ghosts from different eras. Amanda and Brian forge an unlikely friendship and feelings deepen, but tension arises when Amanda asks him to the homecoming dance. When uninvited guests arrive at Amanda's Halloween party, paranormal investigators clash with Chicago's most badass spirit, and the neighborhood's past collides with its present. How will Amanda solve her future?

The Anti-Christ is Coming… to Kickstarter

The chronicles of the Anti-Christ in a graphic novel.

What if the Anti-Christ wanted no part in the end of the world? This is the question that Samantha, a woman who was genetically engineered by terrorists to bring about the End of Days wants answered. She is a pariah, trying to kill herself, but the devil won’t let her die.

Anti-Christ is a graphic novel written by James Mascia and illustrated by Osiris Junior, with 2 covers by Daniel Leister (Hack/Slash) and Mike Crome (Zenescope). Originally appearing as a successful webcomic on Webtoon.com, Dren Productions is now running a Kickstarter to put it into print. Our goal is to print 1,000 copies to fulfill backer rewards and have stock left over to bring to conventions for the next year.

It is our goal at Dren Productions to provide quality stories with great artwork to our fans, and Anti-Christ has gotten great reviews from both fans and critics. @kleffnotes from The Nerdy Girl Express said, "...what I loved was that the audience is learning alongside Samantha. We don’t know entirely what led to her creation or how she was able to survive..."

We are offering backers of this project, not only copies of the book, but also the chance to have the author, James Mascia, write a comic script for you. The length of the script will be determined by the level of the pledge. There are other great rewards planned as well, including extra incentive rewards for early backers.

The Kickstarter went live on April 3rd, 2017. We ask that people check out our page, and if they cannot pledge, to share our campaign on their social media with the #AntiChrist as a hashtag. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/drenproductions/1490631671?token=78b1dc1c

James Mascia is the writer of several comics including The Poe Murders and High School Heroes, as well as many stories including The Curse of Frankenstein and City of Darkness.

Dren Productions is a publishing company committed to providing quality, sci-fi, fantasy and horror to our fans, with a little humor on the side. We want all our fans to “live the dream.”

UMe SET TO REISSUE THE SUPREMES A’ GO-GO

UMe SET TO REISSUE THE SUPREMES A’ GO-GO IN DELUXE, EXPANDED, TWO-CD EDITION WITH OUTTAKES, RARE MONO & VOCAL MIXES, DUET, APRIL 28

The group’s first-ever #1 album (and first by an all-female group) featured the chart-topping “You Can’t Hurry Love” and covers of fellow Motown artists’ hits, new version includes covers of Dylan, Rolling Stones

By the time Motown released The Supremes A’ Go-Go, the group’s ninth studio album, on August 25, 1966, the group had already scaled the charts with hits like “Where Did Our Love Go?,” “Baby Love,” “Come See About Me,” “Stop! In the Name of Love,” “Back in My Arms Again” and “I Hear a Symphony.”

The Supremes A’ Go-Go solidified Diana Ross, Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard’s hold on the American and global marketplace, the first of their albums to go to #1 on the Billboard 200, marking the first LP by an all-female group to do so, spawning two Top 10 hits in the #1 “You Can’t Hurry Love” and the #9 “Love Is Like an Itching in My Heart.”  The album also featured the trio tackling an array of hit cover material, mostly from their Motown stablemates the Four Tops, the Temptations, Martha & the Vandellas, Barrett Strong and the Isley Brothers, but also contemporary hitmakers Nancy Sinatra (Lee Hazlewood’s “These Boots are Made for Walkin’”) and the McCoys (Bert Berns and Wes Farrell’s Brill Building chestnut “Hang on Sloopy”).

UMe will now reissue the classic album in a deluxe, expanded two-CD edition, featuring the original 12 tracks, featuring both the stereo album, along with rare mono album mixes, alternative vocal versions and mixes, as well as a duet of “Shake Me Wake Me (When It’s Over)” with the Four Tops. There are also rarely heard album outtakes, such as covers of fellow ‘60s stalwarts Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind” and the Rolling Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satsifaction.”

The Supremes A’ Go-Go remained on the Billboard chart for 60 weeks, going on to sell 3.5 million around the world, including one million in the U.S., knocking off The Beatles’ Revolver from the top spot for the honors. It also went to #15 in the U.K. album charts, with “You Can’t Hurry Love” peaking at #3 on the U.K. singles chart.

The production represented the peak of the fabled Motown team, headed by producers Brian Holland and Lamont Dozier, the Funk Brothers and even the Detroit Symphony Orchestra on hand.

This expanded edition will also contain two 24-page booklets. The first chronicles the album’s production and success, as well as a timeline, and both rare and never-before-seen photos. The second booklet is a recreation of the Supremes 1966 tour book.

Said All Music’s Bruce Eder about the album, referring to its winning formula of having The Supremes cover Motown’s greatest hits: “In fact, back in the days when vinyl was the only game in town, used copies of this record sold faster and better than any of their other common '60s LPs, and for good reason.”

A Filipino Surfer May or May Not Be the Love Child of Francis Ford Coppola in APOCALYPSE CHILD

"Beautiful, raw, and affecting"
-- Rob Hunter, Film School Rejects

"Apocalypse Child is a wonder. It unfolds gracefully, with nary a false note
in its elegant progression of pitch-perfect moods and nuances."
-- CNN

A FILIPINO SURFER MAY OR MAY NOT BE THE LOVE CHILD
OF FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA IN A FESTIVAL FAVORITE
SLICE-OF-LIFE DRAMA

APOCALYPSE CHILD

Street Date: April 18, 2017

Named "Best Picture" at Toronto's Reel Asian Int'l Film Festival and an Audience Award Winner at the NY Asian Film Festival, This Beautifully Shot Film from Director Mario Cornejo in English/Tagalog, Surfs Onto DVD ($14.99) and
Digital HD on All Leading Platforms, Only from Candy Factory Films

APOCALYPSE CHILD Official Trailer

SYNOPSIS

What if all your life you were told that you were the son of the Francis Ford Coppola?  Myth and real-life intertwine in APOCALYPSE CHILD, a slice-of-life relationship drama from the Philippines, director Mario Cornejo and writer/producer Monster Jiminez.  Straight from an award-winning festival run, the film that the New York Asian Film Festival says is "reminiscent of the golden age of 1990s American Indie Cinema" rolls into the home entertainment marketplace on DVD ($14.99) and Digital HD on all leading platforms, including iTunes and Amazon o April 18, only from Candy Factory Films.

After Coppola shot Apocalypse Now on the sun-drenched Philippines beaches of Baler, his crew unintentionally transformed the small town into a future surfing destination after a surfboard from the movie set was left behind.  Fast forward to today, where Ford (Sid Lucero), a surfing instructor, is content to while away the hours on the azure blue waves and in the arms of his pretty runaway girlfriend (Annicka Dolonius).  But there is a restlesslessness about him that is about to unravel.  Named after Francis Ford Coppola, he may or may not be the illegitimate son of the Hollywood director.  Yet, as his mother petitions the director to acknowledge Ford as his son, Ford seems unfazed, content with his escapist beach bum lifestyle.  At least until the return of his childhood best friend, now a local congressman, threatens his dreamlike existence with harsh realities of the past.

"Apocalypse Child is one of those rare beauties where narrative plays second fiddle to a combination of perfect locations and character: stunning vistas of Baler, mystical half-tales of the past, emotional revelations and jaw-droppingly realistic character portrayals" says One Room With a View.com.  And the Toronto Reel Asian Film Festival, where the film was awarded the "Best Picture," said, "Director Mario Cornejo's laid- back, simplistic approach to storytelling takes the viewer on a compelling journey of escape into the surf, sun, and sprawling beaches -- and one can't help but want to dive in."

CRATE-DIGGERS OF THE WORLD UNITE

CRATE-DIGGERS OF THE WORLD UNITE: WARNER MUSIC GROUP OPENS VAULTS TO LAUNCH FAN-SELECTED, LIMITED-RUN VINYL LABEL, RUN OUT GROOVE

Exclusive Pressings from MC5, Echo & The Bunnymen, Golden Smog, Secret Machines and Solomon Burke Kick Off Series

Warner Music Group has announced the launch of RUN OUT GROOVE, a new fan-driven, vinyl-only record label. Each month, RUN OUT GROOVE allows fans to vote on the label’s next high-quality vinyl pressing, chosen from three selections of either unreleased material, out-of-print material, or brand new collections compiled from the Warner Music vault. Initial offerings from RUN OUT GROOVE come from an eclectic group of artists including Echo & The Bunnymen, Golden Smog, MC5, Secret Machines, and Solomon Burke.

“Warner Music Group is home to many legendary labels — Atlantic, Warner Bros., Reprise, Elektra, Sire, Rykodisc and more — which have produced a wealth of expertly curated music over the years,” said Billy Fields, Vice President, Sales, Account Management for WEA, the artist & label services arm of Warner Music Group. “What makes Run Out Groove unique is that the crate-digging community is steering the ship. We are crowd-sourcing niche, but in-demand, selections from our vast vault to be pressed on high-quality vinyl, and it’s going to be a lot of fun to see where the community decides to take us.”

“I am chuffed that our fans came out in droves and voted for us and that 'Run Out Groove' are releasing our live-in-Sweden recording,” said Will Sergeant of Echo & The Bunnymen. “It’s a historical document of another time, another place, another me and a very interesting stop off traveling the road map of the bands' life.”

He added: “I love the fact that vinyl is having an amazing resurgence and many young music fans are embracing the medium. I am an avid vinyl enthusiast and my vinyl collection is a route map to my life. Having a pocket full of mp3’s can't do that when you lay them out on your bedroom floor like tarot cards. The cover art of an LP is almost as important to me as the music. With LPs you feel like you have actually got something worth having, to hold and read while you listen. I love the organic visceral nature of the record, a piece of plastic that can bring forth such wondrous sound when a diamond is driven along the spiral road. It’s all pretty weird when you think about it, some sort of wonderful sonic voodoo.”

Each RUN OUT GROOVE release will be limited edition and individually numbered, often including previously unreleased tracks or material that has never before been available on vinyl. Each title will be available to pre-order for a strict 30-Day window via the RUN OUT GROOVE website. After the pre-order closes, the only way to purchase a copy will be via participating music retailers across the U.S., while supplies last.

The second RUN OUT GROOVE pre-order campaign — and the first to be fan-chosen — is a new live collection from Echo & The Bunnymen, It’s All Live Now.

The Hunt Is On for Fright-Rags' PREDATOR Collection

Limited edition mask box sets, shirts, & socks on sale now: bit.ly/PredatorFR

In 1987, John McTiernan's Predator was released, and Arnold Schwarzenegger taught us that "If it bleeds, we can kill it!" Although there have been numerous sequels, comics, novels, games, and a reboot movie on the way, nothing compares to the original. Fright-Rags has released the Predator Collection in honor of its 30th anniversary.

The Predator Collection marks the return of Fright-Rags' popular mask and shirt box sets. There are two versions available, each of which features an exclusive tee designed by Justin Osbourn and a retro-style ventilated mask packaged in a collectible window box. The standard version, limited to 650, is based on the Predator's appearance in the movie. The Ugly Motherf***er variant, limited to 300, is inspired by 1980s horror trading cards.

While Osbourn's shirts are exclusive to the box sets, the artwork can be purchased separately on zip-up hoodies, and the Ugly Motherfucker design is available on baseball tees. The Predator Collection also includes four shirts from artists Jason Edmiston, Paul Shipper, Chris Lovell, and Coki Greenway, plus two different styles of custom-knit socks.

The hunt is on now at Fright-Rags.com. The Predator Collection shirts are in stock, while socks will ship in approximately 10 days and mask box sets are due out in mid-June. Quantities are limited.

In addition to The Thing collection available earlier this month and the Predator collection on sale now, Fright-Rags has Chucky and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre apparel dropping next week.

On March 31, 2017, almost fifteen years after his explosive debut, UMe released Best Of 50 Cent. This is 50 Cent’s first “Best Of” compilation, which will be issued on CD and at all digital retail outlets. The double LP will be released on April 7. It includes classic cuts from the albums Get Rich or Die Tryin’, The Massacre, Curtis, Before I Self Destruct, Music From And Inspired By Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ The Motion Picture and the In Too Deep Motion Picture Soundtrack. Backed and produced by Dr. Dre, Eminem, and Mike Elizondo, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was released in 2003. Its impact was immediate and undeniable, thanks to tracks like “21 Questions” (featuring Nate Dogg), “P.I.M.P.,” and the ubiquitous banger, “In Da Club.” Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and its combination of gangster grit and dark wit went on to sell over 12 million copies and topped the charts for nine weeks. Its soundtrack produced the hits “Hustler’s Ambition,” “Best Friend” (with Olivia)” and “Window Shopper,” all featured on this compilation.

In 2007, 50 Cent's third album Curtis debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured the singles "Ayo Technology" (featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland), "Straight to the Bank," "I Get Money" and "I'll Still Kill" (featuring Akon), all included here. The hits "Baby by Me" (featuring Ne-Yo), from 2009's Before I Self Destruct, "Get Up" and "I Get It In" (both non-album singles) are also included on Best Of 50 Cent.

Closing with Fifty’s debut single “How to Rob” (featuring The Madd Rapper) from the In Too Deep Motion Picture Soundtrack, Best Of 50 Cent is a career-spanning chronicle of one of music’s most compelling and influential rap artists, 50 Cent.

Introducing INSIDE PSYCHO, Your New Podcast Obsession

Few films reach the iconic status of Hitchcock’s Psycho. With Rihanna starring as the victim, Marion, in A&E’s final season of Bates Motel and a new Sundance documentary about the infamous shower scene, it’s time to revisit the biggest horror story of all time.

Inside Psycho, a brand new podcast experience, uses fact and fiction to unravel the peculiar behind-the-scenes happenings in and around the legendary film. The six-part episodic adventure debuted on March 24th on InsidePsycho.com.

This obsessive piece of work is a “deep dive” into the people, places and unbelievable things that comprise Psycho. Producer and host Mark Ramsey transports the listener into the (twisted) mind of Alfred Hitchcock--and the true story of the ghastly killer who inspired “Norman Bates.”

Inside Psycho, which was selected to run at Cannes Lions Festival this summer – an honor few other podcasts can claim.

DESCRIPTION: Neither documentary nor straight narrative. Neither radio drama nor true crime story. Inside Psycho is a biopic without the pictures. It's a movie with sound only. Every word is either true or tells a larger truth about the making of this classic movie. This is, first and foremost, an entertaining tale of creation and destruction, birth and death, success and failure, awards and notoriety, fear and loathing, firsts and lasts.

If you thought you knew Psycho, hear it with all new ears.

Inside Psycho weaves an entertaining tale of the horrible mass killings that inspired the movie Psycho and the extraordinary struggles involved in making a movie that, against all odds, became one of the biggest hits of all time. A movie that was the biggest risk of Alfred Hitchcock's career. A movie where the star dies after only 47 minutes. A movie its studio hated. A movie the New York Times called “a blot on an honorable career.” A movie now regarded as one of the finest ever made. A movie that changed...everything.

This is not just a show for film-buffs or horror fans. It's a show for anyone with a love of entertainment who wants to hear about the rollicking adventures behind the scenes of a great motion picture. It's a show for anyone who has ever created something great but was still full of fear and doubts. It's the creative journey, and the hero of that journey is the famed filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock.

HorrorPack is a Horror Movie Subscription box that includes Four Horror Movies on Blu-ray or DVD, starting at $19.99/month. Blu-ray packs have a limited-edition movie each month. And they seem to provide a great mix of obscure classics and new films.

The folks at HorrorPack were kind enough to send us over a box to review.

For our review we could not have been happier with the selection. We received "Le6ion of the Dead", a "Virus" "Shocker" double DVD, "And Now The Screaming Starts" and Stephen King's "Bag of Bones". 5 films in total. And 5 great films at that. ALL KILLER, NO FILLER.

LEGION OF THE DEAD(2001)
Two guys, handsome William and his side kick Luke have just started their trip through the beautiful California desert when they're kidnapped by the notorious Psycho Mike, The Kern River Killer. Securing their escape through hilarious means and the aid of an old friend they soon stumble into a small desert town where unbeknownst to them a mysterious tall Blond Man and his sadistic henchmen are killing people to create a Legion of the dead. Here's where it gets tricky. William falls in love with Geena, the beautiful waitress at the local restaurant and Luke spins out of control hormonally. The restaurant is suddenly attacked by the LEGION and the tall Blond Man gives an ultimatum to hand over Geena within two hours or he will personally come in to get her. What is the mysterious secret that Geena and the Blond Man share? The clock ticks as the ultimatum draws near. The fight against evil has just begun...

VIRUS(1999)
When the crew of an American tugboat boards an abandoned Russian research vessel, the alien life form aboard regards them as a virus which must be destroyed.

SHOCKER(1989)
After being sent to the electric chair, a serial killer uses electricity to come back from the dead and carry out his vengeance on the football player who turned him in to the police.

AND NOW THE SCREAMING STARTS(1973)
England, 1795: the young Catherine has just married Charles Fengriffen and moves into his castle. She becomes the victim of an old curse that lays on the family. On her wedding night she is raped by a ghost and gets pregnant.

BAG OF BONES(2011)
After his wife's sudden death, a best selling author returns to his cabin retreat where he receives paranormal visitations and becomes involved in a custody battle.

There was no way I was going to be dissappointed by HORRORPACK. It's 4 (or in this case, 5) films for the price of one. All of the DVDs are brand new copies and aren't cheapo versions; Horror Pack ships in a box wrapped in bubble wrap and it arrived super quick. I was a little underwhelmed by the packaging because in my research I had seen cool decorated boxes and stickers and extras, when the films I received were just in a brown cardboard box, but you won't see me complaining too much

I highly recommend Horror Pack to anyone and everyone that loves Horror. Its a perfect service and is a welcome distraction from flipping through all the streaming services to decide what to watch.

ABOUT
IT:
New Line Cinema’s horror thriller “IT,” directed by Andrés Muschietti (“Mama”), is based on the hugely popular Stephen King novel of the same name, which has been terrifying readers for decades.

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

“IT” stars Bill Skarsgård (“Allegiant,” TV’s “Hemlock Grove”) as the story’s central villain, Pennywise.  An ensemble of young actors also star in the film, including Jaeden Lieberher (“Midnight Special”), Jeremy Ray Taylor (“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip”), Sophia Lillis (“37”), Finn Wolfhard (TV’s “Stranger Things”), Wyatt Oleff (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming “Cops and Robbers”), Jack Dylan Grazer (“Tales of Halloween”) and Nicholas Hamilton (“Captain Fantastic”).

Muschietti directed “IT” from a screenplay by Chase Palmer & Cary Fukunaga and Gary Dauberman, based on the novel by King.  Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Barbara Muschietti are the producers, with Richard Brener, Dave Neustadter, Walter Hamada, Marty P. Ewing, Doug Davison and Jon Silk serving as executive producers.

The behind-the-scenes creative team included director of photography Chung-Hoon Chung (“Me and Earl and the Dying Girl”), production designer Claude Paré (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”), editor Jason Ballantine (“The Great Gatsby”), and costume designer Janie Bryant (TV’s “Mad Men”).  The music was composed by Benjamin Wallfisch.

New Line Cinema presents a Vertigo Entertainment/Lin Pictures/Katzsmith Production, “IT.”  Slated for release on September 8, 2017, the film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Entertainment Company.
