Frank Zito (a career performance by writer/executive producer Joe Spinell of ROCKY and THE GODFATHER fame) is a deeply disturbed man, haunted by the traumas of unspeakable childhood abuse. And when these horrific memories begin to scream inside his mind, Frank prowls the seedy streets of N ew York City to stalk and slaughter innocent young women. Now Frank has begun a relationship with a beautiful photographer (Caroline Munro of THE SPY WHO LOVED ME), yet his vile compulsions remain. These are the atrocities of a human monster. This is the story of a MANIAC.

Directed by William Lustig (MANIAC COP 2, VIGILANTE) and featuring landmark gore effects by Tom Savini (DAWN OF THE DEAD, FRIDAY THE 13th), this relentlessly shocking and disturbing film was originally banned or censored all over the world due to its graphic violence. "MANIAC's morose desperation and Spinell's full-tilt sicko-performance mark the movie as an all-time exploitation classic, and one that should be on every collector's shelf. You blood-spatter fanciers out there can consider this one Highly Recommended!" - DVD Talk

"Blue Underground's MANIAC is a model for how to handle a catalog Blu-ray release!" - Twitch Film

Get Caught in the Powers of Hell with LUCIFERIFINA on Blu-ray 11/20, VOD 12/4

Artsploitation Summons Luciferina to North America
Argentinian Satanic Horror Comes Home this Fall
Available on Blu-ray and DVD November 20th
Debuts on Digital HD December 4th

"Gorgeous...slick and polished. The final act alone is batshit and bananas enough to fill any horror fan's desire."  -- The Hollywood News

"Luciferina houses some tasty traditional gore effects and digital animated imagery to leave its genre audience satisfied, and a little uncomfortable."
-- Nightmarish Conjurings

Artsploitation has called upon the dark forces to release Argentinian genre maven Gonzalo Calzada's latest scripture-based gore fest, Luciferina.  Calzada (Resurrection, The Clairvoyant's Prayer) directs a visually explosive film where religion, innocence, repressed sexuality and evil build to a boil and spectacularly collide.  He has screened the film at festivals around the world, including FrightFest London, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival, Fantaspoa and Cinepolcalypse, where Luciferina took home the award for Best Sexorcism Scene.

Luciferina will be available November 20th on Blu-ray and DVD in North America.  On December 4th, the film will launch on Digital HD, including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Vudu and more.

Natalia is a 19-year-old novice who reluctantly returns home to say goodbye to her dying father. But when she meets up with her sister and her friends, she decides instead to travel the jungle in search of a mystical plant. Instead of pleasure, they find a world of Black Masses, strange pregnancies, bloody deaths and perhaps, a sexually violent clash with the Devil himself.

Luciferina:  Argentina / 114 min / Spanish w/ English Subtitles

The Blu-ray (SRP $19.99) and DVD (SRP $14.99) releases of Luciferina will be available from all major retailers.  The Digital HD release will be available on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Vudu and more.
